Calvert Reconnections hosts successful Zoom discussion for brain injury case managers

Calvert Reconnections last week hosted the first in a series of Zoom discussions for brain injury professionals.

The event – “why rehab won’t wait” – was attended by a range of brain injury case managers.

After an introduction by Bill Braithwaite QC (two-time Personal Injury Barrister of the Year), Heather Batey (Neuro OT and Director of Reach) and Professor Mike Barnes (Consultant Neurologist and acknowledged leader in the field of ABI rehabilitation) discussed the impact of Covid-19 on current rehabilitation provision and future scenarios.

Centre Director Sean Day then provided an update on how Calvert Reconnections has developed the UK’s first COVID-19 compliant brain injury rehabilitation programme combining traditional interdisciplinary clinical therapies with physical activity in the outdoors.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion between the speakers and delegates.

Further details on future Zoom discussions for brain injury case managers and solicitors will follow shortly.  To register your interest, please email robertm@calvertlakes.org.uk or direct message us on Twitter.
